Stripper Poem by Sherry Gail Heim May 1, 2005

The Stripper

With gyrating stance and seductive dance

She takes her place on the stage

With swaying hips she uses her lips

To remove gloves while creating a rage

She sends clothes in flight, to a man of the night

In her erotic pantomime

She spins down a pole with a hot sexy roll

To music, she's pumping in time

With tassels a swirl, she's a hot woman-girl

As she tempts with all of her charms

Donning fishnets and lace and a fresh made-up face

She grabs money from high-flying arms

She's the maker of dreams, or that's how it seems

By the shouts she gets from the crowd

With hot boastful pride, there's not much she does hide

While she struts for men begging out loud

Beneath bright flashing lights she soars to new heights

In her struggle for glory and fame

She wants more than just awe, from her dance in the raw

She wants men to remember her name

Once done with her dance, maybe, perchance

She'll find a rich John in the place

A man who is gallant and admires her talent

Who'll flash lots of cash in her face

She hopes deep inside, it's not just one more ride

Maybe this one will give her a chance

Perhaps this time she'll find, a guy who's gentle and kind

And worth more than just sex and a glance

OK, generally I don't like poetry. And, it is hard for me to start or finish. Every once in awhile, my eyes will light up and click click click, I'll be thinking that was damn sure good.
