Ok so this is going to be for the extreme newbie gringo because well, that's what I am, I don't speak Spanish and I'm pretty much just a nerdy/hippy white guy. I heard that the sex tourism was pretty good in TJ and being in SD for awhile I figured WTH. My experience is only with HK but here are some good tips for those like me looking to make the adventure.
-DO NOT worry about getting pesos, every price is quoted in USD and trying to constantly do the conversion math is a pain,especially after you're drunk,they want USD,they take USD. However, the club nor hotel takes credit cards, not for rooms, at the bar or the atm, plan accordingly.
-I took the trolley to San Ysidro it took 15 min max to get across the border @ 7pm on a Tuesday, I came back at 9am Wednesday and again, walked right through.
-IF you can go on a Monday or a Tuesday and can stay the night, get their VIP card(50$) this gives you 80% off on your room,a free drink and half price lap dances.
it also gives 20% discount on rooms every other night access to extra VIP rooms ect.
- The protocol of this place other than having stages/tables you can chill at is to have "drinks" with the women, it's a way to vet girls to see who you'd like to sleep with or get dances from ect, these drinks cost 9 dollars and there is no set time limit or acts that this actually buys you however, as in other reviews that you may or may not have read this is a great way to see the girls behavior (is she sucking down drinks left n right without doing much or is she slowly drinking hers while rubbing your junk and giving you a lapdance, it ranges greatly) so when getting the VIP card dances that are normally $21 become $11 so for 2 more dollars you go to a private room,where again, things range greatly but what your getting becomes more clear and I had this range from a basic dance(which in TJ involves touching everything) to girls jerking me off,me fingering them/playing with pussy 1 girl even was down to blow me but had no condom,this I had to decline, I roll safe as possible DON'T BE A FOOL,WRAP THE TOOL.
-A lot of the stuff I read being a couple to a few years old said 5 for a cab from the border to HK, I asked 3 drivers at the border all refused and said it was 10, whatcha gonna do, it was 10. Didn't even hassle on the way home, it was 10.
-YES the women were extremely hot and even on Tuesday there were to many to even keep track of. I had sex with 7 women, a few quoted me $100 but everyone ended up being $80, attempts at getting it cheaper didn't work but I also never tried to negotiate with a woman anyone would consider under a 9 lol. (again this was on a Tuesday night)
-Perks to having your own room,no knocks or calls when time is coming up,2 of the girls I was with were on the dot,when 30 min was up it was over whether the finish had happened or not, most of them just went with it and good times were had by all, well at least me.
-down side,getting your room cleaned when all your stuff is in there at a place like this to me was sketchy, I got around it by giving the hall guy a dollar before each session for a sheet I placed over the bed like they do in vegas, worked well.
-other reviews and tip blogs I read said take your own condoms/lube so I did, however they are available @ a dollar each at the front desk,some of the girls had their own condoms/lube which were Trojan and name brand.

Only one TUSCLer has said they've sessioned with a TJ Street Girl. But he declined to say anything more about it.
Seems like TJ is set up to let you have it whatever way you want, specifically to be able to stay with one girl for a lengthy period of time, or to do lots of them in quick sessions. All there, no appointment necessary.

Bar girls are likely to quote you in USD. (60-90 range) It it's busy your likely to pay on the high range, if slow on the lower end, also depends on your negotiating skills. You can ask to pay in pesos, but if the girl gets out her smartphone and pulls up a currency app, your pretty much not going to get a deal obviously.
san_jose_guy, I spent a lot of time with Aimee in the club but the extra cash I paid was just so the sex would continue lol. I did stay the whole night, showed up about 8pm slept from 3am-9am and then went back to the border. I found the trolley really convenient. no idea on a safety box, the higher end rooms all come with a safe?
I thought the VIP was really worth it, I got their 100$ dollar room for 70(50 vip card+20 for the room) a free long island, which I think would have been 9 dollars, then the half price dances, which I had 5 dances so that's saving 50 bucks on dances alone.
day trader, the rate at the border was 18.1-1 but I did the exchange in Cralsbad and only got 16.7-1, this being my first time even going to the Mexico border, I had no idea about the exchange places right there. The whole pesos thing was the worst part of my trip lol.
I pretty much never left the club, a few times Izai and I went around to the different sides of the club and hotel/ restaurant because by the end of the night they literally had trouble making me change in pesos. I didn't attempt anything with a street girl(they are all over though) but I speak no spanish and well I'll pay a lil extra here and there to avoid hassles.

Also, the first cab stand that you encounter is the one with the big signs. I know that the prices are higher than what they should be. Can you negotiate with them? I'll be by myself. The last time, I walked past them, through that little village and got a cab after crossing the bridge, but now I realize that I probably shouldn't have walked that part alone at night to save a couple of bucks. Locals normally sit in the front seat, right?
I know to visit Adelita and HK. If I wanted to see the street action, is it the street behind the clubs? So I would take a right out of Adelita, then make a right at the corner, and then a right at the end of the block? Is there a backdoor at HK that I can just walk out of?

Another question. Has anyone been to a place called Bar La Valentina? Apparently, it's more of a nightclub in the same area and is pretty cool. Wouldn't mind checking out a regular place too while I'm out there.

Deja Vu says that they are not going to screw this up, and that they understand how the HK Bar works. What I would look for are any indications that they are trying to regulate the front room interactions, limit the GFE. That front room GFE is what makes the backroom awesome. You get your girl completely off of her P4P script. After all, all the money is supposed to pay for is for her to be there and available. Beyond that, a civilian style interaction is what is needed. So as long as no one tries to limit this, I will be very happy and do expect to be enjoying that Pre-Columbian place.
As far as the US, Deja Vu has to keep its clubs open and people out of prison. What I was pleased to hear about was that in San Francisco they are still running most of the clubs, but as I can see, they don't use the Deja Vu name. So I interpret that this means that those clubs can be wilder and woolier, as are many clubs in the US. And when you have that, it is conducive to GFE. I saw this all the time in the underground Mexican circuit.

De Ja vU is a very boring overpriced american strip club franchise. if i wanted to visit De ja vu i could just
stay in the United States and not travel to Mexico. Seems counter-productive.
I've long been very critical of Deja Vu, over how they took over San Francisco. But now they have contacted me. They insist that they have been under cover and scrutinized every inch of the HK Bar operation. They understand it. They know that it runs on Front Room GFE. This determines the quality of the back room. They insist that they are not going to screw it up.
So what I would look for is, are there any mechanisms in place which tend to shunt guys into the session rooms, just so the house can get more money? That sort of stuff ruins the front room, and then that undermines the back rooms. So we just need to watch, but they insist they are not going to screw it up.
Of course in the US they don't want their clubs closed or people going to prison. So they need to keep it within some bounds.
The issue about San Francisco has been the clubs where they destroyed the front room interaction, and so this destroys the quality of the backroom. In San Francisco one does not need to be that conservative.
And at issue also has been, which clubs do they still control? Their name used to be on most all of them, but not anymore.
So a senior executive has affirmed that they still run everything except Crazy Horse and MBOT. And then the one club which still uses their name, Centerfolds, is of a different business model, the "high volume" business model.
So of course there are all sorts of things they are not ever going to discuss. But I infer for myself that all of these other clubs, especially the no alcohol clubs like 20's, Eden, New Century, are a new form of non-branded Deja Vu club. So that is, they run it, but they are not using Deja Vu as a brand name. This is new.
So I further infer that when they use Deja Vu as a brand name they need to be more conservative. But when they remove the brand name, then they can let it run just like other people do in the same metro. Front room GFE is not illegal, or at least most people wouldn't see it that way. But it does completely change the impression one will get when they walk in there. And it is the main determinant of the back room quality.
