Bombshells Cabaret is in an excellent location. It’s within 3 miles of Scottsdale, downtown Phoenix, and Sky Harbor International Airport. Banks, large office buildings, and much shopping surround the little pink building.

The room is small inside, with tables, benches, and a couch surrounding a large, 3-pole stage. Seats are comfortable, but in such a small room it seems that I’m always right in front of a speaker. One wall is all mirrors; another is decorated with mirrors in wooden frames. Three HD TVs provide constant sports for the addicts among us. VIP looks reasonably private. They say that they’ll be remodeling soon.

Cover is under $10, nothing in the afternoon. The DJ seems to adjust the music type to the customer’s ages. On my two recent visits, an audience of wrinkled white men was treated to hard rock in the AC/DC, Bon Jovi vein. Volume was low enough to talk to the dancers. A younger, mixed-race group got modern pop and rock, but with higher volume.

The daily beer special is Coors Light or Bud Light, 2 for $4.50. Other drink prices are quite reasonable, as are the dance prices. $10 gets you a typical Phoenix-standard lap dance from a woman who isn’t old, fat, or extremely pierced or tattooed. On my recent visits I saw only White dancers with fashion-model type figures except for one stacked babe. There were no short, pixyish, willowy, or zaftig dancers, the lack of variety being offset by the pretty faces of the available gals. Silicone is optional here, mandatory in some places.

So Bombshells is like a mini-Bourbon Street Circus, but in a better location. Men who like BSC will like this place.
