I wouldn't caLl the area around the HC shady, it's more of an industrial area. It's actualy adjacent to the downtown business district, with many of its parking lots used by downtown workers, so I can think of a lot worse places to be.

Immediately adjacent to downtown and has lots that are used by downtown workers.

Last time I was in there business was slow so service was prompt. Once late at night the waitresses stopped by regularly. Maybe you had a grouch or somebody who just can't cut it. I'd complain about her, maybe she deserves to be let go.
