I hear a lot of negative...

I hear a lot of negative things about Sugers, but to be honest with you, I like the place.

First off, the atmosphere is fun and casual-- it feels kind of like you're hanging out in your buddy's basement, which just so happens to be full of nearly-naked women. Beer can be reasonably priced (there was a $3.50 pitcher special on this last visit, for example), the service is friendly and prompt, the music is okay, and, while everybody working is obviously there to make money, the hustle factor is pretty low for everything except drinks (which were offered non-stop). This place feels less sleazy than a lot of clubs, and is more just like a college party with a $5 cover and good-looking girls.

And speaking of good-looking girls, there's a nice variety of them. On this particular Saturday night, there were three different ethnicities represented (white, black, and Asian), and body types ranged from super-skinny to muscular to curvy to full-figured, with the average tending toward the full/curvy side. Attitudes ranged from playful to aggressive, and dancing talent ran the gamut as well. I will say that other clubs tend to have, on average, slightly more skilled dancers, but the generally fun nature of the Sugers girls more than makes up the difference for me. These girls also tend to let their personalities shine through, and, with one or two exceptions, they seem like they're honestly having a good time. Not all of the girls were gorgeous this last time, but a few were, and nobody came on stage that I didn't enjoy watching.
