The Dolphin has been open over forty years. What visitors see is a bar frequented by Center City/South Philly hipsters in their 20's (couples are very common here) and a long rectangular bar in the center with three raised platforms inside it. Bartenders work around the podiums serving drinks to patrons at the bar. The platforms host one dancer each, who dance every half-hour. Last dances are done at 1am. Dancers are frequently quite unattractive; however, occoasionally there will be a few lookers. As previous reviews stated, topless dances only, with pasties on. Behind all of this is a former disco area that used to still have a multicolored underlit floor (I can't remember if that's still there). Still farther back is a large area of pool tables; they are always busy. Drinks are cheap; the novelty of seeing the girls monitored for safety by "Mom" is amusing. Stop in, but don't think this is a fill-in for a trip to another club.
