After two previous disappointing trips to Knockouts, I had a good time on my visit after work last Tuesday. There weren't a lot of customers, but there were 7 or 8 dancers. I had a good time in the private area.

The club is dark, which is great for getting good dances. It is clean and well maintained, but certainly not a high class premium club. There is no cover during the day. There is a large central stage, with seats around it and tables around that. A place in the back against the wall is a good place to seat. If the club is slow, dancers dance two dances on stage, if there are enough dancers, they dance one dance. If it is really slow, the DJ may take intermissions where no dancer is on stage. Avoid these times. Dances on the floor at your table cost $5 and can be a good deal depending on the dancer. You aren't out much if it doesn't work out. Dances in private booth type chairs in the private area are $10 and usually a notch above those on the floor. The private area is pretty secluded, but there appear to be cameras. Some dancers tend to ignore the cameras, some seem really worried about doing anything beyond an air dance. Depending on the bouncer, he may take a swing through the private area every couple of songs or not. When I was there he did not visit. There is also another "private" area, which is better lit than the booths and only separated from the main room by a beaded curtain. I seldom see anyone in there and am not sure why it exists. Drinks are a good deal at $4 for a beer and you can get 16 Oz Tecate or PBR for $2.50 from 6 to 9 PM. There is a two drink minimum, but I have never seen that enforced if you tip well and get a couple of dances. They also tell you not to touch the dancers, but in practice that is really up to the dancer.

There are a wide variety of dancers, both in looks, ethnicity, and friendliness, but the dancers here are a cut below those at the other clubs in town. Some dancers are aggressive in pursuing dances, others are more laid back. None pester. If you want a dance and they don't ask, ask them at the stare. You can get a good show tipping at the stage, again depending on the dancer. The floor dances are inexpensive so that you can check out a dancer that way and then get a more private dance if you like the dancer. If you don't like the dancer, you are only out $5.
