I visited Detroit in the last week of March, and made it a point to check out the clubs, especially Penthouse. I dropped in on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, all for the afternoon shift. Surprisingly, Monday had the most attractive girls. And overall, for the three days I was not bowled over by the numbers of gorgeous women. That being said, being selective paid great dividends, for great dances and a good time. This is still the best club in Detroit, if not the country, for my money. Friday was egregiously poor in dancer quality. I wonder if Good Friday had anything to do with it. Maybe the better performers were in church or otherwise doing penance. As far as the new city ordinances are concerned, the fact that court challenges are in effect might preserve the status quo for a while. This is one time that the slow-grinding machinery of the legal system works to our advantage.
