I was visiting St. John's, and thought I'd check out some local entertainment. I visited around 10pm on a Thursday night. There was no cover charge, but you have to check your coat - 5$.
The bar is definitely dated, with old furniture and carpet, but it was very clean. There are a few TVs, and a couple of gambling machines. There are two levels of seating - seats along the stage, which is medium size, and 2 rows of tables just behind those; and then more private tables up 4 or 5 steps, and behind the other tables. There seemed to be a side room for private shows, though I never saw anyone going in or out.
There weren't many people there at all - I'd say a dozen or so patrons. There were 3 or 4 dancers, all chatting either with bouncers at the bar, or sitting with other patrons. The stage shows varied in quality. They were standard 3 song sets - by the final song they were fully nude, and left nothing to the imagination. Some of the girls were quite good - good energy, good show - whereas others just sort of walked around and slowly stripped. They were all quite cute though. They have a mix of local girls, and girls brought in from Montreal or Toronto. The crowd was quiet - maybe because there were so few people there. There was a long time between songs - it worked out to a dancer every 40 minutes or so.
