Visited: Friday Afternoon

While on a short trip to the Philadelphia area, I decided to check out a couple of clubs I had heard about online. 7th Heaven was one of them, and I decided to visit during the lunch/mid-day shift. One of the major complaints I had heard was that it was hard to find the door. Honestly, if I hadn't heard that, I probably would have had a hard time finding it myself. Since I knew what I was looking for, I had no trouble getting in (plus they now have a large sign saying "Entrance --->").

Once I got in, I was fairly shocked at how small the club seemed. The bar area dominated the main room. The bar surrounded the stage area, which had enough room for a single dancer at a time. The "chair dance" area is off to the side, and fairly cramped. There is also a "champagne court," which one of the dancers told me was, for the most part, a waste of time and money. I stepped up to the bar, ordered a Yuengling (which I suppose in PA they simply call "lager"), and started watching some college basketball as the dancers started performing.

The dances were nothing spectacular. Of the five or so dancers who were around, many of them looked bored. Maybe it was the small crowd (only 5-6 patrons, including myself). Maybe it was because it was a gorgeous Friday afternoon outside. None of them really wanted to be there, and it showed.
