Was there on Sunday afternoon, still hoping to run into Mason (guy named Bob the Builder on SCL said she was there recently) or maybe make a new friend. Sadly, just the same people I've seen before.

It was kind of dead- same people I saw a month ago on a Sunday as well. The pretty but pricey Kandi was on stage when I first came in, but immediately went in the back and never showed up again. Anya was there, but when I headed in the back I found that her menu had become more limited, as the set of chairs that had faced the far wall were now facing towards the manager's booth. But there were still booths that were more discrete, and I say a creative dancer can find a way to make things work, and she probably just didn't want to.

The manager looked to be one of those ball-busting types, overly interested in the VIP section (presumably an embittered lesbian who hates all these women being 'objectified' or some such). She wasn't walking through or hovering, but every few songs she'd walk to the railing and give a good hard look around the VIP. The place has the mirrors in the back as well as added ones on the walls and honestly, now the place doesn't look bad at all. But the VIP has been a bust both times I've gone, at least on a Sunday. No Mason, and the only two women who do anything for me looks (and mileage) wise in Kandi and Anya were either MIA after one stage appearance, or just not firing on all cylinders. The rest were women like Anna- who's nice enough but just doesn't click for me- or people like Robin who, well, should really not be working in this business. There was a pushiness from the few women working as for a while there was only as many or even fewer men in the club than dancers, and they didn't seem to be in a buying mood. When a woman who's clearly 10+ years older than me is trying to give me 20-something level sultriness, it doesn't work and seems a bit desperate. Stripping, like baseball, is a field where you really need to hang it up by age 40 (unless you're named Jamie Moyer).
