Scores West was the sister club...

Scores West was the sister club to the original legendary Scores Club in Manhattan. Several years ago, Scores West got busted by the NYPD Vice Squad on prostitution charges. NYPD's Vice Squad is notorious for making prostitution busts at strip clubs, dungeons and gay video stores, while allowing major escort services and brothels to flourish in Manhattan. After the prostitution bust, Scores West and Scores got their liquor licenses yanked and went out of business. After Scores West was empty for a year, the same real estate mogul who owns Penthouse reopened Scores West. The new Scores has no affiliation with the original Scores Clubs.

Scores is a large 10,000 s.f. Club on one floor, located in the Chelsea West nightclub district. Many of the customers are younger, single guys who stop by Scores late at night after striking out at the various posh West Chelsea nightclubs. As a result, the Club really does not get busy until about 1 am. The new Scores looks essentially the same as the old Scores West, except that the stage has new video screens so that you see multiple images of the dancers on stage.

The dancer quality is generally very good. The old Scores West had more ethnic and latin dancers, whereas the new Scores has more All American girls. There are ample managers and hosts who are friendly and professional. The Club is usually at partial capacity and there is an ample supply of dancers. Unfortunately, many of the dancers appear desperate for money and are very pushy to get a dance. At times, it is hard to have a conversation with a buddy without being constantly interrupted by the dancers.
