I picked the one snow day...

I picked the one snow day of this or most other decades to have some Friday afternoon fun. I hadn't tried Splendor before so decided to give it a shot.

For a day when people were escaping the icing roads, the place was pretty crowded and had a functional if not spectacular lunch buffet. I had some brisket and veggies that were tolerable.

The girls started dropping by pretty quickly but they were, for the most part, pretty weathered (ha, a weather reference), mostly 35 and up with the lines and gravity issues to prove it. I was about to abandon all hope when this gorgeous young Hispanic sauntered over. As it turns out, she works at Splendor's during the day and Gold Cup in the evening. After some small talk, including her insistence that she doesn't offer extras, we found a corner for some dances.
