Troop, I visit Bugsys a lot...

Troop, I visit Bugsys a lot also and still think it's a good value. Being mostly a day guy (late afternoon's) I don't encounter the door guys too much, but when I do on occassional night visits I just don't pay them too much attention; just hand them my money and walk on by. That's the best way to handle them: don't dis them but don't feed their ego either. The drink hustle is an ongoing problem. My approach is to figure the cost of a few drinks into my budget for the visit and rack it up as the price of having fun. But you do get tired of the push from the dancers and the bartenders. I finally told myself I had to start drawing the line and told everybody I'm just not buying as many drinks as I used to (and I used to buy too many as part of the package). Since I['m also trying to drink less, it all works out. Now that they know this I don't get hassled for spending less, although they still try to tempt me. There's a less than subtle effort to get guys really drunk there, so you have to watch what parties you get sucked into at the bar. I still get asked for drinks but my favs know there's a limit.

I have to say the most every dancer there is friendly when you get to know them.
