Being the only club in my area, The Royal is a frequent stop for my friends and I. The bouncer does a pretty thorough check of your I.D before allowing you into the low lit club. Facing the single stage, there are two poles and mirrors covering the walls. Looking to the left, the private dance area is covered by a 5 foot high wall, but there are mirrors over top of the booths that reflect most of what's going on. There are video poker machines and pool tables if strippers aren't everyone in your party's thing. There is an ATM inside of the club, but I suggest you bring your own cash as it has a $4.00 withdrawal fee.

As a female, I usually attract a little more eye-contact from the dancers than my male friends which makes the stage routine a little more personal. The girls dance for three songs each, and I think that most of them are pretty good-looking with nice bodies. In my experience, though, many of them are a little too skinny for my taste. Most of the girls are very sweet, though, and one of them even gave me a special surprise for my birthday! I've had a private dance, and she was VERY intimate with me- though again, that could just be because I'm a female. I would COMPLETELY recommend getting a private dance at the Royal- the only downside is a lack of privacy with the overhead mirrors. The price of drinks is completely reasonable considering the lack of a cover fee.

The Royal may be a few steps down from the Brass Rail or Whisky A Go-Go's, but it's a great place to go to be entertained and more than reasonable in price. I plan to keep going until the joint is closed down!
