I went to Peppermint Hippo at 19:40 on a Saturday night. The club is up on top of a hill off the west side of US 71. The road up the hill and the parking lot are both gravel. The building looks like a red pole barn on the outside, but the inside is newly remodeled and upscale. A lot of money was dumped into the former Hots Gentlemen’s Club to turn it into a Peppermint Hippo. There was a $10 cover charge at the door. Sincweisers were $6. A Dr. Pepper was $5. Jager Bombs and shots were $14. The ATM has a $200 limit per transaction and a ridiculous fee of 15% per transaction. If you use your credit card in the club, there is also a 15% surcharge. It is better to hit an ATM at a gas station on your way to the club.
As you enter, the main stage is a large rectangular island to the left. It has two fifteen feet tall stripper poles and a ring hanging between them. Only the more acrobatic dancers made use of the swinging ring. The bar is off on the right wall. Most of the tables and chairs are between the stage and the bar, but there are some booths for high rollers built into the left wall and on the second floor overlooking the stage. Regular lap dances take place in booths that are visible to the rest of the club. Lap dances are $25 per song in booths. No touching is allowed by the customer during by-the-song lap dances, as there is no privacy. The VIP rooms are tucked away down a corridor in the far left corner of the room. The longer the block of time you buy, the larger the VIP room you get. The VIP rooms are private, except for having a camera in the ceiling. If you do a VIP room, you can touch the dancers all over, except for their love tunnel. Fifteen minutes is $150. Thirty minutes is $300. Sixty minutes is $600. There is also an option for a spacious VIP room that has a television and a large couch, which includes a bottle of champagne. This option is sixty minutes for $1,000.

Every dancer I saw was Caucasian. There did not seem to be much stage contact. You basically just throw your bills on the stage. At the end of a stage set, a club employee uses a microfiber dust mop as a rake to collect the dollars and put them in a stack for the dancer. Dancers strip down to topless. Dancers did not have to wear pasties like the Peppermint Hippo clubs in Fayetteville. I ended up doing a fifteen minute VIP room with Lime. I would say I got a good value because the host forgot about us, and it ended up being a twenty-four minute session. I ended up doing a thirty minute VIP room with the same dancer later in the night, and that one ended up being clocked at thirty minutes exactly. I think the first host I dealt with threw me a bone because I was the only patron tipping the stage early in the night. The second host did not take the same liking to me. As mentioned before, you can feel up the dancers in the VIP rooms as much as you like as long as you don’t touch their pussy.
Peppermint Hippo Missouri is open from 19:00 to 01:30 daily. I will return the next time I am in southwest Missouri. I had a lot of fun at this gentlemen’s club.
