This is an upscale club for sure. Waitstaff, valet, bartenders, managers; they are all dressy. A little too snobby for me. I'm just a middle class guy. I don't need leather chairs/couches. I don't need a showy cut glass stage floor. I don't need chandeliers in my strip club. This place I think tries to emulate one of those classy Vegas clubs. $8.25 for one beer? Like I said, I'm just a middle class guy so I was taken aback by the high prices for drinks. Alan Markovitz (owner) doesn't believe in "Happy Hour" I don't think.Service ranges from below average (just like a regular bar) to above average. Maybe it depends on whether there's a full moon out; I can't give an exact rating on this. Let's say average at best.
Now for the dancers (the best part of course). We all go for the dancers, and the dances, don't we? In the numerous times I've been here, mostly weekday afternoons at various times, I have rarely been disappointed. There are almost always at least 20-25 dancers. Mostly white, with a few exceptions, and most are hot. However, there's always a few that make one wonder,"How the hell did that one get in here?" The VIP experience is quite good. As usual YMMV. It depends on the dancer. I'll say I'm 75% satisfied. If you want 'extras' beyond the $25 per dance, that can usually be arranged. There are some high-pressure dancers, something that personally turns me off. That's OK because there are plenty more to be found.
As you probably noticed, I've been to Penthouse numerous times over the past year. The main reason I would say for going back would be the dancers. This club seems to attract more than its share of hotties. That, despite the fact that it charges the highest tip-out for dancers of any club on 8 Mile, is quite remarkable.
