First of all I have to say that I am a fan of Achibald's (or Archie's as it is known to locals).

Since there are plenty of reviews, I thought I would review the daytime atmosphere. If you go in for lunch or before the night crowd starts to hit you are treated with a seemingly normal everyday neighborhood bar, albeit a bit darker. And the noted exception that there are fully nude women dancing around the place. The food is decent, especially for a strip club. Rarely are there more than 8-10 other patrons there during the day, but it does not feel like you are the weird lurker sitting in a strip club during the day. There is usually a bouncer on duty who also acts as the manager. The bartenders are friendly and intelligently talkative. Even the one guy that bartends there is friendly and makes you feel comfortable just hanging.

The women during the day are definitely mostly the B team. Most are 5-7's but there are usually a few of the night time girls in too (7-9's). They are less busy trying to get that dollar and are easy to sit down and chat with. Definitely a no touching club, and since it is DC no dances. If you are in DC and have a free lunchtime, I recommend heading there. Alot of times that is when they audition the new talent also, which is a mixed blessing.
