I haven't really seen that many...

I haven't really seen that many of the LA clubs considering how many there are, but the clubs in that city are so spread out you can't really cover it unless you live nearby or have several days with nothing else to do. Sam's Hof Brau got the nod because I figured I'd have to eat at some point looking at a long drive across the desert to Vegas. I almost didn't make it in. Parking near this place is abysmal, and then when I finally parked I got turned back at the door for admitting to carrying a cell phone. The guard (yeah, they had a uniformed private guard as opposed to a bouncer) by the door was actually a bit of a dick, but rumor had it the food here is decent and I'd been on the alcohol diet that day so it was time to eat. Had the big ass quesadilla. It's entirely possible that wasn't the name of it, but it was pretty big and helluva good.

So there actually was some nudity, too. Not as much as you'd expect from a typical club. It was still dayshift, so the t&a factor may increase after the sun goes down. Plus this was a Sunday. The layout is interesting, with booths and tables on the floor along with the obligatory long bar on the opposite wall from the door. In the middle of it all was a large stage that resembles an adult jungle gym. There were two or three girls working at the time, and the slim asian dancer got progressively hotter as she worked through her routine. Nothing extraordinary, probably just a combination of solid stage presence and the reup on alcohol kicking in. It was entertaining enough, and maybe that's what made it stand out. A lot stage work these days is spin here, stick it out there, collect tips so it's nice to see someone putting on a show once in a while. The other dancer on the floor was snagged for lappers and there appeared to be decent sit-and-chat-before-the-wannadance going on.

I was really only there to eat, so I tipped the asian gal, declined a dance (think it was $20 per) and bolted. The place definitely has a restaurant with naked chics feel to it, so not sure I'd make this a regular haunt other than when I'm in need of a meal while on a run.
