Visited the SkyBox about 6:45 in...

Visited the SkyBox about 6:45 in the evening and there were only 6 customers and 4 dancers in the club. With the DJ, a bartender, a door girl, 2 floor hosts and 3 security guys, I sensed that they were expecting a larger crowd at the time. This has been typical of a few clubs in the area. Crowds are small and dancers are leaving. On this particular night, I was pleased to find two new girls wwho have moved from Memphis. They said that the clubs in Memphis underwent rule changes with local ordinances cutting their ability to make money.

The beers were still $1.50 after you paid your cover charge and mixed drinks were $4 to $6.00. The club is large and cavernous during the weeknights and can get crowded on the weekend. I still like the 5 for $50 full contact lap dance in the VIP and have never paid extra for the additional comfort in the Champagne Room. There is lots of competition for the "clubbers' dollars" in the South Suburbs and NW Indiana, with Club O and Club 390 being just minutes away.

The Skybox needs to take a hint or two from Club 390 and do something that will bring in new dancers and new customers. Right now, Baseball on TV and Free Pizza just does not satisfy as "extras."
