As a veteran of the old...

As a veteran of the old Tootsie's and the really old Tootsie's, I had never been to this incarnation of Tootsie's. I will say it is "impressive", but for me, that was a waste. Like many things in these times, to much is trying to be done. This IS, after all just a SC, not Disney World. I sat at a table, and had a few beers, $2.75, I think they were. Lots of dancers, but none that were outstanding. Only one stopped by, but she left without fanfare when I told her I had just got there and wished to "settle in" for now. Many have said there are dancers for every taste, not so on my trip there. No Asian women. There were many two that could have been part Asian, but I couldn't tell for certain. It was in all, a pleasent experience, but I was just on a recon mission, so didn't partake in any LD or VIP.

There was a humorous event, however. At about 4 PM they had the wheel of friction (some things never change). I had 17. Two guys behind me got 18 and 19. Well the random number was 18. It took the announcer about 5 minutes to finally recognize the winner. What was funny, was that the guy that had 18 didn't want it, and neither did his buddy. I was just about to tell them I'd take it, but right at that time they were recognize. The buddy (19 really) went up and hit the wheel for $1500. I wonder how the real 18 felt and if his buddy split with him.

I try to evaluate clubs and come up with a "do I wish to, and will I return" conclusion. For the amount of travel to return, I would not go back, and has I said, it is just too much in my book. I still prefer a smaller laid back type of club. Each to their own!
