Was there on a holiday night. Surprising how many other customers were there. I was on the other side of the country from home, though, and figured why not spend the night checking out some girls?

I tend to heap abuse on the Deja Vu franchise because it is an easy target with the corporate flourishes all over the place, but this club delivered on its basic obligation to entertain with optional grindage. Got dances from two different girls and neither were air. It looks like there might be hope for San Diego yet to recover from strip club purgatory, since I had a nice bit of grinding with at least one of the girls in a full straddle at a SoCal DV. Even got a little playful peek-a-boo with the clothing and let the hands go. Now, was the mileage anything to write home about? No, but it wasn't totally pathetic either.

So far as the layout goes, it's definitely a DV club and that's not necessarily a bad thing. There are pics on the website so you can go see for yourself, but I liked the spacing of the seating and it was easy to check out the show and the girls making the rounds. The triple pole setup that many of the clubs in the franchise have are a nice touch, and the girls did make good use of the setup. You get the San Diego spacer rail all around stage so work on your dollar toss. The girls do wander off stage during their sets so the club does ok with what it has in the interaction department. This is getting dangerously close to a positive review, but I'll give credit where credit is due. The girls try here on stage which does make a difference.
