The Palace is an interesting place....

The Palace is an interesting place. There have been times I have decided to swear off ever visiting again, and then there have been times that I have had far better times than any other club in the DC area. Most times, it just is the Palace. It is dark; it is grungy; the drinks are expensive; the staff is not friendly or cooperative; some of the dancers should not be dancing. But then there are some others that can bring a smile to a man's lips. And there are some dark corners. And there are the dancers who circulate looking for tips after their stage dances, and will join you for a drink, and some friendly conversation. On my recent visit, I had a couple of drinks with such a dancer, and some friendly conversation, and successfully spent the entire time between her last two dance shifts with her in one of those previously mentioned dark corners. And suffice it to say that, after her last set, I left the Palace to return to my hotel room a very satisfied customer.
