It had been almost 20 years...

It had been almost 20 years since I had been to this club (formerly known as "K2U Southside"), and they are in the process of changing over from "K2U Cabaret" to the "Dollhouse Rhode Island", which I think might be a strip club chain that the staff claims will be a much higher-end option in RI. Apparently much of the pricing structure will remain the same, but they are expecting to get prettier girls, which they really need IMO. Much of the remodeling had been done already (except for some new rugs & lighting fixtures) when I dropped by recently.

The club is located around 10 miles North of the Providence area, but there really isn't any need to make the drive up from there IMO. If you are in nearby air-dance MA, this place is worth the trip though. From Providence, take Route 146 up to Route 146A, then take a Right onto Park Avenue, and a Left onto Logee Street to get down to Front Street.

The cover charge here was $5, and large drinks started out at a very resonable $3. They have two stage dance areas, but only one of them has seating around it (the main stage). You will enter up a few outdoor flights of stairs from the parking lot and enter with the bouncer/doorman station on your Right and the entrance to the Men's room on your Left. The club is kind of small...with the primary dance stage over on the far Right (flanked by some wide-open "VIP" seating areas) and the secondary stage (that only gets some use when the club is packed) over on your far Left. The large bar & TV sets are at the far back of the club. There's also a small cubicle in between the Men's room & the secondary stage where there's a video game machine that the dancers use to pass the time occasionally. To the Left of the main stage & to the Right of the end of the bar is an entrance to the DJ booth & club office. Right in front of the DJ booth are the steep stairs that go down to dancer's dressing room entrance & the LD area. The dancers here usually get naked onstage after 2-3 songs. I also noticed that the DJ always played "Back in Black" by AC/DC between stage sets, which was kind of weird.
