Farewell to the Island. Fantasy Island has given its last smoking hot dance. The joint burnt to the ground on Friday, March 27. It is now just a smoldering pile of memories, ashes and unfulfilled dancer promises. According to local news reports, the fire started in an ajoining business and then spread to the entire structure. The fire happened toward the end of the day shift and according to some dancers they didnt have time to get their money's out of the locked boxes. No injuries were reported. While there has been no formal comment from the management I would suspect that some of the dancers will try and go to it's sister club in Del City while others will go to other clubs. Unfortunatly some really good staff will likely be out of a job. It is certainaly unlikely that another club will be built on this site any time in the near future. Cold beer drinkers, titty bar addicts and dirty old men everywhere will miss the place, or at least as long as it takes them to drive to the joint.
