Warren, that fact that Bugsys is not a glitzy place but rather a basic stripclub/bar is clearly part of the review history posted here. If you bother to use TUSCL, you're into researching your strip clubs before investing travel time and money. So why weren't you more careful about researching Bugsys before your visit? The full history of reviews clearly indicates that this place is not in the glitter class of clubs. It's high ratings are due to the fact that it can deliver a potentially great, but not always consistent, personal experience.

I've been to a few SCs around the country, but I never compile a numerical value rating based on any national comparisons, mainly because it's just impractical to do that. AA value rating should be based on personal experience and expecatations for any particular location, not a value based on a national perspective, since not everyone travels to visit clubs nationwide. And a high value rating will make an otherwise lower club rating (which is comparative) inch up a bit. We should deal with all the nuances in commentary to put things in perspective, though. Perhaps that's what you were doing, but I would never disparage Bugsys because it isn't like Tootsies's in Florida, for instance. In fact, they are like night and day if you were to compare them side by side. But if I can have a great time at Bugsys relative to my expectations and put everything into a context in my review, it deserves at least a high value rating. Maybe founder could help us handle the glitz factor better next time he tinkers with the rating categories (if that ever happens again!).

Sorry, I don't mean to rant, but value transcends a lot of things and that's why this club is rated as high as it is.
