exotica is a club with a bit of a rep for trouble, and I've heard about a couple of "incidents", but I have been visiting this club for years and never had a problem (except when I got kicked out a year or so ago) but that is another story. The club is relatively upscale, not Stars quality, but then not a dive. The service is friendly, attentive, and the house mothers are only moderately intrusive. This is especially so during the afternoons. The back room is not usually opened until around 7:30 for dances. There is another area adjacent to the DJ for day dances. The DJ seems to be the only enforcer and dances are MUCH more liberal than at night in the VIP lounge. The local "wine" is that clubs that serve alcohol generally have air dances and the local juice bars offer more - not my experience. I have a couple of favorites, but day to day, dancer quality is a mixed bag. I have had my best times here and my worst. I do, however return regularly in hopes of those "bests".
