just before heading to visions, stopped by showcase. i didn’t take role call, but it appears that the regular line up was working that night. it would be nice to see a new dancer now and then. got me thinking that there appears to be a certain level of responsibility, discipline and commitment exhibited by these dancers to be there all the time. I have to believe that it must be more difficult than holding down a 9 to 5 job. no paid sick days, no paid vacation days, no health insurance, extremely cut-throat (all co-workers vying for the same work) and the boss doesn’t have to watch or adhere to the prevention of sexual harassment videos/guidance. imagine if you went to a TGIF and a waitress takes your order for a french fries, but 2 minutes later another waitress comes and offers a free shake with the fries for the same price and then later on, another waitress offers you the entire happy meal, with the bonus toys. it’s a recipe for havoc, but somehow the dancers have a code and they work it out, presumably in the ladies room. anyways, dancers are pretty, in their 20s and the beer is cold. will come back soon…
