My friend and I checked out Visions on the strength of the recommendations on this site. I'd agree that the club is not much to look at, and has the general atmosphere of a no-frills college bar inside. Clientele is mostly local, since it is about a 5 mile trip from the Canal St. area where most tourists stay.

Despite the appearances, we had a very nice time there. As previously mentioned, the girls are up on the large "W" shaped bar, doing walk-bys for the customers. Once off the stage, they will circulate around the bar and hit you up for a dance. The semi-private room is $20 per dance and the private "VIP" rooms are $30 per dance. Once in the private OR semi-private area, well that's when the fun begins. The lap dances are VERY good, the girls are pretty forward and encouraged contact (the ones I had, anyway), and if you give them 2-3 songs with you, they'll pretty much "finish you off" with the friction. I typically favor the all nude bars, but was very pleasantly surprised by Visions.

Other thoughts: Girls range from very hot to very not, but about 60-70% are cute or better. Beers are $4. If you need the high-end trappings and champagne rooms to enjoy your evening, you'll probably do better on Bourbon St. But if you're a normal Joe with an average income (like me), this place has tremendous bang for your buck.
