stopped by last night on a lark to check out if the new extension was open yet, and what do you know? part of it is indeed open to the public. the wall directly behind the main couch rail is down, and that area is now filled with bigh, high-armed chairs. Although the speculation i had heard was circular couches like Honey's, this is a little different. The chairs face the wall, and they're roomy enough for a good dance. Not too bad. no place for your drink or anything yet, but a definite privacy improvement over the open rail. the lighting is still strangely bright in the back couch area, but one imagines they'll get that sorted out soon.
One of the dancers told me that there's several more parts that have to come in, and the stage furthest from the door is being moved over towards the new seating area. There is also apparently another seating area opening up behind the dj booth and new carpet all around.
couldn't resist getting a dance or two in the new chair area and it wasn't bad. it was nightshift on waitress contest day, so the manager was fairly attentive, and the mirrors in the back area are down, making it hard to watch for her, but that said not seeing the other fellas and being certain they couldn't see me was a nice change from the public market feel of the old place.
