For this club it's a tale...
For this club it's a tale of two visits. You can have a lot of fun here but it really depends on the time of day.
The first time through it was early evening on a Friday, right after I left Sugar's. Was still trying to make up time for being stuck in construction on I-45 and blowing a half hour I'll never get back at Heartbreakers, so it would have taken quite a bit to make me hang around this place right off the bat. It wasn't too cheap to get in the door. The cover was around $15-20, plus $11 to buy a neon green wristband for VIP. Ilene was at the booth, and I was giving her a bit of the business (in a friendly way) about dinging customers site unseen for another $11. Her response was $11 wasn't that much, it was a one time fee per night, and totally worth it. Not being risk averse, I rolled the dice and bought the wristband. As it turns out, there was NOTHING happening here when I walked in the door.
There was one dancer on the floor and maybe, maybe one other customer at the time (around 8PM). The brunette dancer was sitting around on the first level looking bored out of her mind. Think her name was Daisy, and she had a pretty wicked sense of humor but wasn't really my type. This left me to sit around for a few minutes, irritated at the club for pulling a fast one on me. None of this sounds positive, does it? One of the bouncers walks over at some point and I give him the business about charging up VIP for an empty club, and he guaranteed the club would be much better after 10PM. Think I could've have gotten some $$ back, but hey I'm the one who paid so I shrugged it off and headed back toward downtown Houston. The staff handled it well, though. Had they been total jerks, I wouldn't have considered going back and this would be a nice fat 1.33 rated review instead of a split review.
