I was in Key West about...

I was in Key West about six months ago while on summer vacation (June/July '08, which still makes this the most recent review), and decided since I had a free half hour or so, to haul my ass up the stairs to poke my head in. I got there in the middle of the afternoon, and there was practically no one there. Maybe 5 guys (including me) and as many girls, and three of the guys were sitting at the bar, shootin' the shit, watching TV, and paying zero attention to the nearly-naked lady gyrating on the stage behind them. I stood around for a little bit until I noticed another girl from whom I wouldn't mid getting a dance, and asked her, but she indicated she was about to go on the stage. I indicated I would wait, and she did her couple of songs, during which time, the other girls pretty much chatted and cackled to themselves, not presuming to try to steal a dance from me. At least the place was clean and had decent music playing (from a jukebox, I guess -- no annoying DJ). No cover either, despite the sign by the door, presumably because there was simply no one there to collect it.

Anyway, she finally came down and we went to the "private" dance room. There was one other couple already in there, but I didn't notice any other chaperonage. Still, while the girl was quite hot (the swarthy Argentinean type noted in other reviews), it was a pretty mild grind, with not much touching allowed. She offered to continue the dance, but I declined, figuring my money might be better spent on a nice upscale meal somewhere.

Might go back if things were hopping a little bit more, and I picked a different dancer who was a little more... adventurous.
