Not up to par with its...

Not up to par with its sister clubs around the country but has potential. Got here around 5AM. Still hadn't seen a decent club in Vegas after driving around most of the night. Got here and saw an empty lot but the club is supposed to be open 24/7 so I went ahead and walked up. A couple of the bouncers were standing around talking to a cabbie and a dancer in street clothes. Signs of a dead club without setting foot on the red carpet. Got nailed with a $40 cover charge before I got within 10 feet of the door (apparently it's been dropped now thank goodness). Since I'd been dropping cover charges on duds for several stops, I decided to grumble a bit about $40 at 5AM (something to do with a crock and shit) and wound up with 2 free drink tickets. They could be redeemed up to $15 per drink so that put me in a slightly better mood.

Main section of the club was pretty roomy and there were some pretty looking girls walking the floor. When I was there parts of the club were still being remodeled from the prior tenant's setup, but taking a quick look around from where I was seated at the bar it looked reasonably upscale. The main stage is cross shaped and girls were still working through a rotation even though the customers were few and far between at the time. Maybe a dozen customers and 6-8 dancers. Hustle was pretty low, and I used my drink tickets to buy drinks for two gals on my left and right. Sweden (blonde) and a great looking black dancer with brown wavy hair to her shoulder that'll stay nameless since I can't remember which was her stage name. Two blonde 10's walked by while I was chatting, so the place wasn't all bad even though the energy level was pretty low. Bartenders were cool and the drinks were strong.

Looking at how highly I rated the place at the time it must have made a stronger impression than I'm remembering now. I think the real issue is for everything I like about Penthouse Club in Vegas there is another place in town I like better. The best looking girls were top notch 10's but I saw Spearmint Rhino around the same time a couple of days later and they had girls just as hot (and a lot more of of them). The Rhino, Treasures and Scores have top notch interiors at a scale any other club would struggle to match so there's no issue losing out there. The drinks aren't the most expensive I've seen, but they're not cheap and on the higher side for Vegas.
