I made my regular visit to Shotgun Geniez on Friday night. They have made the news a lot recently, and I'm not sure much of it is good. In short, last year, they had an incident with an underage dancer, but since by Iowa law, the club is a theater (I believe they have a sign which says "Hamburg Theater of the Performing Arts"), the judge ruled in favor of the club, which allowed it to stay open. Earlier this month, the city of Hamburg decided to pass a law essentially to regulate the club (its not like they have any other strip clubs in Hamburg). But the club owner's fighting them in court.

Anyway, with a lot of legal crap lingering around, I went in. You get a wristband which lets you come and go as much as you want, and if you smoke, Iowa's smoking law requires you to go outside to smoke. Anyway, I got several dances from some of the dancers. They don't do nude dances anymore, which sucks, and you aren't supposed to grab their tits, or to suck on them. On the other hand, I think they try to do as much as reasonable within the newly imposed limits. This goes for both the regular VIP and the champagne room. I think they could lower prices a little given some of these rules. Overall, it was a fun time.
