I have been to this club about six times. On this visit, the club was not up to its usual lofty standards. A gringo going to this club is likely to be overwhelmed by the very concept, and a common mistake is to let the girls pick you to go upstairs, rather than for the patron to "pick his pitch." On this trip, I made a very conscious decision that I would pick the dancer, rather than vice-versa, and this made me a little more critical than I might have otherwise been. On this visit, the customary home of the best-looking girls in the club, "Hottie Central" was basically empty. Most of the girls were either young and overly made up, or on the older side. If this was the only club of this type in TJ, or even in the surrounding neighborhood, I am sure I could have found a satisfactory girl to take upstairs. However, with competing clubs next to, I felt no such compulsion, and left without picking a girl for a meaningful interaction.

On the other hand, how bad can a club be when it gives you latin girls in their 20s with whom you can have legal sex for $60? Thus, the club rating stays high.
