Since I own a place in Melbourne I have wanted to check out Bare Assets for several years but have always stayed away due to the poor reviews I have read on TUSCL. Finally I stopped in. First the good.

The place is nicely laid out. Not really the "Gentleman's Club" they claim to be on the sign, but an OK club. There is a $5 cover charge but the drinks are moderately priced and include free popcorn. (A nice touch.) There is a single stage with lots of chairs for seating. On the night I attended there were few customers and nobody, and I mean nobody but me, was tipping the dancers on stage even though the disc jockey almost begged the customers to give the girls a dollar.

Now the "not so good." This place is the opposite of high pressure hustle factories where the girls pester you for dances. Finally, after nearly 45 minutes of multiple dollar tipping at the stage, a dancer sat down next to me and we chatted for a minute or two before she invited me to the VIP. The VIP involves no charge to enter and dances are $15 per. Dances are full one-way contact. Mine were uninspired but OK by Brevard County standards.

This place is OK if you live near Melbourne but not worth a drive if Cocoa Beach is accessible. The Inner Room is a better value (minus the popcorn) and the dancers are a better mix of ethnicity and skill.
