Well, at least the food and drink was good...

My girlfriend and I went to the Gold Club in Hartford on a recent cold and rainy Tuesday night, hoping for cold drinks, hot food, and hot women. We found the first two and walked away disappointed about the third.

The dancers there that night seemed generally more interested in each other and in only a handful of likelies than in us. While pretty, they didn't exhibit any real enthusiasm for their jobs (well, except for the "two linebackers" who basically picked men up and carried them away for lapdances). And, the music choices to which they had to dance made their jobs no easier - it was not your average strip club music, that's for sure.

But, the food was good - if you're looking for an affordable late night dinner in Hartford which features some very good eye candy, then the Gold Club is for you. But, if you're looking for a great mid-week strip club experience (and if you aren't hungry...), look elsewhere.
