Well, I was visited by some SPD detectives a couple of days ago. They wanted to know all about Rick's, what goes on there, etc. I can only assume they even knew my name because of CC receipts. They're compiling information still, so... that is something any continuing customers should be aware of.
In any case, this spells "the end", certainly for me. Rick's is dead now, if they're actually questioning customers and apparently tons of dancers (who are all too candid, I'm sure). Hopefully, they'll bury the Franks, a father and son of scum-sucking maggots. No one that loathsome should be that rich. And the truth is, it's only due to the Seattle-enforced monopoly on strip clubs that the Franks had that clout.
And hopefully, a new club or two will spring up that are well-maintained, well-run, and don't evade taxes/exploit the dancers by charging them for shifts they don't work and require sexual favors to stay employed/run a shitty club. Rick's, like the brothels of old, filled a need, which still needs to be met. It's just that the Colacurcio's are the wrong bastards to meet it. Same way that it was people like Al Capone involved with alcohol during prohibition.
