I had a great time on...
I had a great time on my most recent excursion to Bottoms Up, and must again give my experience a solid 8. I acknowledge that everything the other reviewers say about this club is true: it is a run-down, dirty dive inside, and not all the dancers should be employed in a place where women dance naked for our pleasure.
The grunge factor here is high, and if you need a shiny spotless "gentlemen's" club with only total knockouts stripping, then this may not be the place for you. My visit was on a raucous Friday night, with the clientele split pretty much between frat boys and latinos who didn't speak any English. The quality of the dancers was much higher than I have ever seen it at BU, with only one that made me want to cover my eyes when she hove onto the stage. All the others were young, proportionate, and appealing, with a good number of really great-looking ladies. And this was true even in the absence of several of my favorites, including Tiffany, Rain (no longer here, I hear), and Cat. There was a nice, new surface on the runway that juts out from the corner stage. All the dancers do a standard 2-song set off the jukebox, and the songs are full-length. The dancers come down off the runway into the audience and give excellent lots-of-contact attention to anybody with a buck. Honestly, the mileage I get next to the stage at BU is a lot better than the expensive lap/couch dances I'm used to in the clubs I frequent where I live. When they are finished with their set, the dancers here will walk around the room buck naked, soliciting tips from slackers who didn't tip them onstage. I watched the rotation and singled out an adorable, short, sexy chubette named Sally and we went to the back room for a private dance. These private sessions cost $30, and normally that would be an exhorbitant amount to pay. But I was so delighted with my full-contact experience with this friendly, willing young woman that I
stayed for three songs. My tips between tunes provided even more co-operation from Sally during the next song. As I mentioned before, the songs are full-lenghth, and I was supremely fortunate that one of my tunes with Sally was a 9-minute Metallica song. I left that night feeling well satisfied,
and I certainly can't say that about many of the clubs I visit.
So yes, I give the Bottoms Up an 8, despite the negatives, and
