So this is a catch up...
So this is a catch up review for a visit in June. Just putting that upfront since I don't know what the club was called when I went there, thought it was still Chastity's and that's what the sign said. About everyone inside was either partying or drunk so the name of the club never came up. I recognized this place from the outside, but the inside was completely different. The old layout reminded me of a big country dive bar, and this place (along with a redhead who used to work here) helped give me a different perspective on what the hobby was really all about. It's no longer a dive, and my first thought walking into the now dimly lit and polished club was I hope they hadn't ruined it. Was really in town to check out Platinum Plus since it gets hyped almost daily on TUSCL, but decided to roll through here on the way. I keep this club in or near the top of my list partly for the sweet memories and also because the place is still an underrated spot for some hot hands on action.
No sense in comparing old and new at this point, but I was glad to see that there was no sign of those ridiculous oversized white t-shirts they used to make the under 21 crowd wear. Actually the crowd in general seemed to be older than I remember. When you walk in, the new main stage is roundish and near the back around what looks like the DJ booth. There was one satellite stage when I was there, on the far side of the bar and it was about big enough for an average sized dancer to take a couple of steps in any direction around the pole and that was it. If the place has been remodeled completely since June you can of course disregard all of these details. The three sided bar was a good size and there were flat screen TVs placed against the anchor wall. There was a VIP section behind glass door in the back left and little doorless couch rooms down a small hallway to the left. The place was really dark and still bustling at a little after 4AM. No sign of the girl I'd been hoping was still around these parts, not that it was a surprise.
Walked along the bar looking for some company and got snagged by a cute little black dancer who'd named herself after one of the famous R&B singers but I can't remember which. What I mainly remember is her talking about 1000 miles a minute and sounding like a drunk cartoon character on crack. It was everything I could do to keep her at bay long enough for the shots to arrive so we could toast the wee hours and I could escape. Right as I walked away she was literally dragged off to VIP. The girls were starting to thin out a bit but I did tip at the satellite stage before deciding I wanted something a little blonder. Made it to the tip rail at the main stage in time to see Paige (a pretty nice looking blonde) flat on her back doing simulated mish with some lucky guy who looked frozen with a dollar bill in his hand. After about 30 seconds of waiting I let a handful of dollars fly at the stage and walked her off as the song wrapped. Bought her a drink. How many clubs in this country can you walk into and buy a strongly poured drink for a lady at 4AM?
