I visited the Can-Can Room relatively early on a weeknight, about 8pm because I was still on east coast time. When I walked up I was greeted with the high-pressure sales job you see others refer to, trying to get me into a private room right off the bat. They couple at the door were quick to try to haggle on the price - $300, $200, $150.. But I held my ground and insisted I wanted to relax and check out the stage show first. I quickly realized why they wanted the money up front...
When I walked into the club there was no one there. Not just that there were a few people, I mean it was empty. Not a patron or dancer anywhere. So I headed over to the DJ to find out what the deal was, but he wouldn't say a word. The manager followed me and offered me $100 for a half hour private, but I still declined. I know the drill -get them in the room and let the girl jack up the price. So I sat down with my required beer to see what would happen.
Eventually one dancer came out and did a couple half-hearted songs while another tried to talk me into a private dance. Neither was attractive enough to be even slightly tempting. So within fifteen minutes of walking in I walked out again, leaving the worst strip club in Vegas as empty as I found it, $20 lighter for the cover charge and beer and much wiser.
