The Dolphin is more like a fish
On a recent Friday night, decided to stop by the Dolphin. The Dolphin has parking in the front and back of the club. Plenty of parking. There is a coffee bikini barista stand in the parking lot of Dolphin. That’s about the third or fourth stand I’ve seen in the parking lot of a strip club. I guess these stands are becoming more popular in Portland.
I arrived at around 8:30. 10 buck cover, I believe cover starts at 8 pm on Friday and Saturday, and no cover the rest of the week. It was absolutely DEAD. Maybe 5 girls and 5 customers. There are 2 stages, 1 stage is to the right of you when you walk in by the pool table, I think that’s a secondary stage. Also by the pool table are lottery machines. The long main stage is straight ahead when you walk in, the girls do 2 song sets, just 1 stage was in use on this night. Seating is scattered throughout the club, there are seats at the bar. Expensive drink prices, I think 11 bucks for a rum and coke! There is a smoking patio past the DJ booth, past the restrooms. The dances are done in booths behind the DJ booth, in a somewhat separate area from the rest of the club. Dances are done by minutes, not songs. I believe it’s 5 minutes 50 bucks, 10 minutes 100 bucks, 15 minutes 150 bucks, 20 minutes 200 bucks, and so on and so forth. The bouncer usually comes in when the time is up, or the girl uses the stopwatch on her phone. There are no cameras in there, and the bouncer doesn’t come around till the end, so depending on the girl, I believe extras can be negotiated. The dance booths are semi private though, so if someone peeks in, they can probably make out what’s going on.
Girls were in the 4-6 range. No one worth getting a dance from. A few white girls and a Latina. There was a Latina there who’s been there for many years, ridiculous fake ass and fake tits, she’s probably in her mid 40’s. There was a woman who looked to be probably in her early 50’s, she might have been the oldest stripper I’ve ever seen in person.
I don’t think I’ll be back to this spot in a very long time.
