This club is bullshit. Do not trust the reviews. They are either outright lies, or posted by newbies who don't know shit about strip clubs. If you look at some of the particularly over-the-top reviews (including some of the very first page), you will see the reviewers never, ever posted another review for any other club. That's because they are shilling, and their reviews are nothing more than ads. The fact that this place is ranked so high has nothing to do with the quality of the place. It's a rip off. This club is ranked high only because it has deliberately placed a number of fake reviews on tuscl.

Generously, I will start with a few good points. The set up of the place is "cool." It's hidden and if you did not know where to look for it, you'd never find it. When you walk in, the atmosphere is not at all like a normal club. It is more like a college dorm party where all the girls are in their underwear. The girls are not horrible looking. I would not say they are outstanding, but they are ok. And there are a lot of girls (they outnumber the guys), and they are "friendly" in the sense that they will immediately come up and talk to you. Indeed, you cannot find a moment's peace in this place. Oh, yes, and the place is very clean and well laid out.

But beyond that, it is a tourist trap. Unfortunately, most of the clubs in NYC are tourist traps. You would think NYC (city of sin!) would be a place for great clubs, but by and large it's not. The clubs largely cater to out-of-towners, dumb tourists and business guys on travel. Everything -- the cover, the drinks, the VIP rooms -- are all ridiculously overpriced in most NYC clubs. It would be easy for a fool to lose thousands of dollars in one of these places, and have very little to show for it. Hot Lap Dance is no exception. The only difference is that it is well advertised with fake reviews.
