Club is open late (til 5...

Club is open late (til 5 am). When it's open. Took more than one trip here since the place is only open from Wednesday through the weekend and opens at 9 or 10 pm. It helps to pay attention the hours listed on this site (if and when the clubs actually go by them).

I'm going to keep this review simple. This club and The Platinum are essentially the same club, with Platinum being in a more remote (and seemingly safer) environment and Sugar Bares having a full bar. They are about a half hour apart. Didn't like the fact my license disappeared through a little mail slot looking thing, but by the time I got to this club on Wednesday I'd already resolved to call the lawyer if something went awry with the my personal info (since there'd be no telling which club was at fault). This is a rough crowd with rough girls, but a couple of them aren't so bad. Sherry was one of those not so bad, slinking around in one of the corners by the DJ booth. As I was working my way over, another dancer made a beeline for me and sat down. Would not leave, and said she would wait for me to get back when I said I was going to tip Sherry. After my first saying "nice to meet you" yadda yadda and I was making my way over to say hi to someone else. I know we customers catch a lot of flak for being rude with the dancers, but help us out a bit when we're trying to be polite. Eventually got to Sherry, got a couch dance for $20 with just about every working eyeball in place fixed on me (ok on her on me). Since this was beyond uncomfortable, opted for the private room and got the full run down.

The place is basically as advertised. What wasn't mentioned earlier was the crazy amount of paperwork in this place. There's a little table in the room with a form to sign that says various assorted nonsense about what the customer and dancer will and will not do. Yes, that's right, dancer and customer. The customer is supposed to drop TMI and sign, then show his/her ID to the dancer. Are you kidding me? Do they really expect customers to fill these bs forms out with legit information? You want to check your dancers that's one thing (Sugar Bare in Winston-Salem does the form thing, too...for its dancers) but bringing your customers into it is another thing entirely. Dropped $40 for the dance before even sitting down and rolled out without passing go. If high mileage is your thing, think Platinum. If you're feeling really adventurous, try wandering around. The first time (when the club was closed) I nearly ran down Pam from Baltimore while she was walking by the lot. After I stopped to see if she was ok, she gave me some dip on the club then went down the list on a couple of other spots around the neighborhood. Convinced me to come back and I suppose it was worth the trip, but not sure I'd do it again. So far as clubs go, much better options in Greensboro than here.
