On my way out of town...
On my way out of town I decided to drop by a second time. Thursdays this spot is open until 5 am, so it wasn't a hard choice since the other clubs were shutting down around 2-3ish. Didn't check out the Mons again since I saw everything I needed to see earlier in the week. The door girl whose name I can't recall was very friendly, and I had a better impression of the place (over the first visit) almost right away. Having the free pass also helped. Got a few dances this time, one asian gal who wasn't really up to the task and kept asking me if she was the best dancer I'd ever had. If you have to ask...we'll just leave it at that. A fair number of girls stopped by and all were chatty. No names that jumped out this time around.
The second (ok, she was the third but I'm pretending she wasn't the capper) dancer I spent time with was so drunk she might've actually passed out halfway through the one song in the back. She didn't seem that bad off while chatting by the juice bar, but when she complained that I wasn't paying her for two dances the exit was seeming very appealing. Believe it or not, the first visit was so off putting up until the end that this visit is still a net improvement. I did actually have a quality set of dances (3/60) from a blonde gal with a face like Christie Brinkley (a good thing). Since it seems these reviews are getting read and not to offend, I'll say that she's a little bigger/heavier than dancers I typically go for (not fat, just bigger) but the dance was very entertaining. Great personality.
I like the club well enough to check it out again next time through town, but would prefer to have a uniformly good visit. On a random note I did check out the Sonic drive thru next door, since I see their commercials on TV all the time but don't live near one. Their fruit shakes are pretty damned good. So I wound up having a very late dinner sitting in the rental car across the street, taking a look at the club and wondering what possessed someone to throw a flying saucer on top of an otherwise nondescript building. As tacky as the concept may seem on the surface, it really gives the place personality and to quote a movie "personality goes a long way". Was still driving as the sun came up and can't complain really about the evening all in all.
