This place really seems like the quintessential neighborhood bar and pastie joint. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Not as crowded as Skin two buildings down on the Saturday night I was there, but I personally thought the atmosphere was better here. Objectively it has the same overall rating as Skin and is slightly behind Christina's, but this is the club out of the three I personally liked the best and might drop by regularly if I were local. There's more room to move than at Christina's so it would be easier to socialize here you can actually see what's going on (unlike Skin which is about as dimly lit as you're going to see in most clubs). It was stocked with two pool tables, a couple of game machines in back and the common Golden Tee arcade game (seriously, I see that game in more bars than I can count). One very big screen TV off on the back right. A couple of other TVs around I think. Narrow runway type stage, two poles with a surrounding rectangular bar that you'll see in many places. This stage is a little smaller than most, though. With the number of customers (maybe five including me) and fewer dancers it was nice to see they were still running sets at all that near to close.

The first time I walked into this place was years ago when I was looking for the Wagon Wheel/Players Club because I heard it was a better option than clubs in my rotation at the time. Didn't really strike my fancy. It was more crowded then than now, but I really wasn't interested in getting the lay of the land and after all of five minutes I walked out. Not really enough information to give a fair review so I just kept the initial impression to myself. This place isn't fancy, but the people who were there seemed to really get along in that Cheers sort of way which I thought was a nice touch. So, if you have a group of friends who need a place to shoot some pool and grab a few drinks (a go-go) in a low key sort of way this may not be a bad bet. Not saying to take a long drive to get here, but if you're close by then why not? Dreamers (another club in the area but off the beaten path) could be described in a similar way, but Memories seems a lot more welcoming of strangers. There isn't really a lot to separate the Dundalk clubs, since they're all essentially neighborhood bars with dancers. Nothing against the others, but again on preference this is the spot I'd go to first. Any place that can take a moment to include a total stranger in a round of shots is alright by me.
