Very dark inside this club. Greenish-blue lighting. Has an underground flavor, but the vibe isn't that different than the other two North Point clubs on that stretch of road (i.e. neighborhood hangout). Between the three it's pretty much pick your poison and from the number of people that Saturday it seems to be Christina's, Skin, and Memories in that order. The big difference here is the demographics. Skin seems to be primarily a black and latino club.
On the whole the decor is pretty interesting, kind of has an LA feel to it now that I think about it. The walls are covered in airbrushed artwork and some of it is pretty creative. The club looks bigger than it is because you have to walk to so far to get anywhere. The main bar dominates the place and you might have ten feet or so around it to move until you get back near the two pool tables. Rectangular shape with a stage in the middle, but a little more distance between the stage/pole area and the rest of the bar. Dancers walk out to (but not on) the bar after a set for tips. Drink prices are typical for that area (less than downtown but not cheap). The DJ booth is back in a little room that seems to be to the right of the dressing room area. Did not actually spend much time on that side of the bar, and the view from the other half of the club to that area is blocked by a large cage. Didn't see anyone dancing in the cage the night I was there. This is probably a pastie club, but didn't stay long enough to see how closely the dancers stuck to that. One of the dancers (named Danielle, I think) gave me the run down on the club, and I saw other dancers mingling with customers and doing barside shows for tips. She was cute and friendly. No laps as a club policy, but it was something they were working on offering soon.
One of the bartenders was outstanding in the looks department and pretty friendly. Didn't catch her name (actually I did but beer claimed later it). Strawberry blonde or maybe even full red, hair up. Very petite, except for what most guys will be talking to because we're wired that way. She was packed so tightly into her top (a good thing not a bad thing) you literally had to slide the tips home with your fingertips. Needless to say, at some point before I walked out there was a crowd guys around her doing nothing but tipping dollar bills. Some clubs have a whole lot less going for them than world class cleavage at the bar, so there it is. I'm tempted to say check this place out just because of how different it looks from other places around the area (and for the tipping game) but it's a toss up even if they had laps because Players Club and GGC are right down the street near the city border. In that part of town, if you're looking for a full bar along with your show with quality talent then GGC is a better option. Players Club is your better overall choice in the laps and personal attention department. Since there's no cover, though, it wouldn't hurt to sneak a peek on your way to other places to see if it's your speed.
