Avoid. Stopped by here twice in the same week. The second time was in the neighborhood checking out another club I had on my list (the Mile High Club in Clinton, MD) and granting this place a mulligan. Was not admitted for some inexplicable reason, so I can't really speak to the interior other than a small lobby complete with a cute-but-rude arabian looking door girl. Looks like there is a VIP room next to an office, with the entry to the main club off the office door. The first night it was too late and they were not accepting "new members". The bouncer gave me some info on the club (did I mention the door girl was rude?) and suggested I drop by another night a little earlier. Seemed silly but it was pretty late so I gave them a pass. The second time there was a "private party" going on and only "members" were allowed in. The bouncer didn't seem to have an issue with me, but the person who introduced himself as the "money guy" apparently did. There were people filling out forms and the "receptionist" was photocopying something, maybe it was people's licenses or the members only cards or whatever. Going to assume that was a new group being signed up because they knew the secret codeword. Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through for a club in the middle of a run down strip mall in a small town. Because the bouncers on both days were cool (and seemingly as puzzled as I was that paying customers are being turned away) I will give the club a 2 rating for hiring them. The money guy asked me to leave my contact information and they would let me know when they were "accepting new members". He seemed surprised when I said thanks and headed for the door. Just so there's no misunderstanding, the manager/owner of a hole in the wall strip mall club is actually expecting people to sign up on a waiting list. After the second visit I'm fine to say AVOID this place, because who knows what type of reception you'll get. There are plenty of solid clubs in BAL/DC to sample without having your time wasted by a club that is either paranoid or allergic to money. Luckily for them there are no zero ratings available on this site.
