First visit here. Got there between 1:30 and 2:00 in the am. Within an hour this place had managed to irritate me almost as much as my ill-fated visit to the Jet Strip in LA. Actually, it was worse. At least at the Jet I knew I'd picked the wrong girl (sound travels well there between the booths). Here I just figured I'd picked the wrong club. Let's see. Angelica latched on about 10 seconds into the visit before I'd even managed to get to a seat. Promised much. Couldn't shake her and I wasn't sure how long I was going to stay with Ybor still open. What the hell, I was traveling with my entourage and Ben, Franklin, and Grant all said "why not?"...so why not? ROB. Simple. Quoted 3 for $60 then asked for $75. Don't know which was worse, that she took me for a sucker or because she tried a bait and switch with underwhelming service. Let's see. And then there was Charisma (I think). Boo. Latin-ish Eye Candy? Yes. Dime quality looks on the outside. Worth spending money on? Wouldn't know because her personality made her the fugliest girl of the night. Not one dollar, not one dime did I spend on her. Want to know what type of stripper runs away when the DJ announces a 3 for $60 special after a customer says he'll buy up if she puts in a little effort? One who isn't worth a dollar afterward. Then she had the nerve to walk by looking for a trip upstairs since I had "just missed" the special. Note to management, lucky for this review that blonde gal Deja was in the house that night. Tall and stacked, she put on a good show in back even with both feet on the floor. By the second song on the 3/60, checking out the spaceship was a no brainer. The booths up there are arranged in a circle at the top of a flight of neon lit stairs. They're definitely more private, with a lot of different angles possible during a set because of how they're built. The black drape had issues staying closed, but there wasn't really anyone walking through (unlike downstairs). Wasn't too bothered by the glow in the dark galaxy painted on the ceiling, but the 80's tunes playing on the radio were a little interesting. Ever had a gal try and make your pants explode to Huey Lewis and the News in the last 20 years? Ok, ever? Also wasn't too crazy about the club being willing to discount a half hour upstairs upfront, but not if a customer decided after 15 minutes that 30 would work. Will some guys write it off as the cost of doing business? Sure, but they'll also remember they didn't catch a break. Was it worth the $$$? Maybe once. Got a free pass on the way back downstairs, though. Also thought it was a nice touch that every dancer I talked to after management got wind of the rip off was willing to negotiate on prices without being asked. Other girls were cool and chatty. Mixed bag all in all. Took too much out of pocket to redeem the visit, but on the whole it was worth a return trip.
