So after a day or two of awful meetings up around NYC, decided to suspend my brief retirement from the SC scene and drop by here on my way to points South. Got here around 2:00pm and was surprised to see plenty of dancers on the day shift. Maybe 15 or more on a Wednesday. Since my first trip here was a little disappointing, I wasn't expecting too much but the recent reviews seemed positive enough to give it another shot based on reputation alone. Unlike the first time I stuck around for a while to really get a feel for the place. I'm going to give this place a 7, because if for some reason I lived around Burlington this would be decent a place to drink and look at girls. Playhouse has a leg up on other places because it has private rooms for no extra charge, but as I commented before this place really seems past its prime in the lap department. The day shift is more low key than nights. The girls have less to do so they'll sit around and talk longer even to passerbys, though a couple of the younger ones were putting out local-preferred vibes. The chatting helps with the tip parade since most dancers will not butt in for a $ if another girl is there. The dances are reasonable and you won't feel ripped off (nice two way contact and attentive dancers across the board) but I would not consider this to be a destination club. YMWV. Plus, though I can appreciate efficiency in how the club tracks its dances it sort of has a supermarket feel when they call out the dancer names and number of dances between each song. I think a better option would be to keep tabs in case there's a dispute. If the dancer overcounts and the customers pays, it's on them. If there's an undercount and she ends up short, that's between her and the club. As an FYI, the men's room is right off the bar and has no privacy whatsoever. Didn't need to lock the door but it looks like it does. If you're on the Jersey Turnpike and are looking for a place to cool your heels the Playhouse isn't a bad bet.
